First opening in 1960, Dorrian's Red Hand has been a staple of Manhattan's Upper East Side for decades, dutifully serving delicious American fare and popular beers and cocktails to generations of neighbors, locals, and their families.
In the 50+ years since it opened, DRH (NYC) — as we are also known as — has expanded from a humble little corner bar serving loyal regulars to a fully restaurant space with a smaller, intimate back room with its own bar.
We are now a venue that can offer the comforts of a wonderful meal and tasty drinks to everyone from individuals and couples to small parties and large events.
We have maintained that “old neighborhood” charm of Yorkville, while adapting with the tastes and energy of Today’s customers.

Dorrian’s Red Hand continues to be a popular place and space to host small gatherings to medium-sized parties to large events, whether it be get-togethers, birthday parties, reunions, corporate events, holiday soirées, even kids birthday functions.
We offer itemizable itineraries and customizable rates along with various catering options. We’ve hosted events for many clients yearly — as strive to provide ever-memorable experiences for all of our event clients.

Dan “the Man” has been are popular KJ since the very beginning, and he still gets the very best out of our Tuesday Night rockstars, and getting the whole room vibe jumpin’!
Dorrian’s Red Hand (NYC) Is honored to team up with the NYC Backgammon Club by hosting backgammon enthusiasts every Wednesday from 6:30–11pm.
The NYC Backgammon Club provides all the boards, Dorrian’s provides the setting, food, and drinks, and YOU provide the skill, fun, and camaraderie!

Dorrian’s Red Hand (NYC) hosts the Wisconsin Alumni Association’s Big Apple Badgers chapter for all Wisconsin Badgers football games this season.
